~Fall Stitchins~

~Some Fall Stitchin~

I don't really have anything to post about today. I have lots of new projects started but they are unfinished. We have been spending some time at our local no kill animal shelter. 2 weeks ago hubby and I found a little kitty on the side of the road screaming in pain. We immediately stopped the car and picked up the kitty. She had so many injuries that we didn't think she was going to make it. We are amazed how she is coming along. Tuesday she is scheduled to have one of her front legs amputated. After that she will be coming home with us. We hadn't intended on keeping her but after all she has been through, we couldn't leave her at the shelter to live her life. I'll take some pics of her soon. We think we are going to name her Oreo since she is black & white.

Here are a couple of fall samplers I stitched up recently. I thought I would share with you all.

~Today's Project~

I made a bunch of these flicker candles today. They were really fun to make. Thanks to my sweet friend Constance for telling me how to make them!!

~14 Years Today~

Today my husband and I are celebrating our 14th anniversary. It seems like forever. We were married when I was 19 and my hubby was 21. I can't imagine my life without him. He is such a wonderful man. I love you sweetheart.

~Help support something dear to my heart.~

Here's a new easy way to raise money for our local no kill shelter, Shelby County Humane Society. Just start using Yahoo! powered GoodSearch.com as your search engine and they'll donate about a penny to your favorite cause every time you do a search!
In addition, do all of your shopping through their online shopping mall, GoodShop.com, where you can shop at more than 900 top online retailers and a percentage of your purchases will go to the charity or school of your choice. You pay the same price as you normally would, but a donation goes to your cause!
Here's the web site — http://www.goodsearch.com/. You can also read about GoodSearch in the NY Times, Oprah Magazine, CNN, ABC News and the Wall Street Journal.

Just click on the box in my side bar to start using.

Thank You for your support. These animals need our help.

~Saturday's Find~

Hubby and I stopped at a yard sale yesterday. It was at a beautiful old house built in 1807. I found this 13 inch Munising bowl for $15.00. Now I just have to find the perfect spot for it and what to put in it.
